Putting the MS Puzzle together...Piece by Piece...

So while I am sitting in my 85 degree hospital room turning 12 shades of red and waiting for the fan that was ordered an hour ago to arrive I started thinking about all the symptoms I've had the last several months and I realize now that my MS started while I was pregnant, not after. When I was pregnant I remember having some strange sensations in various parts of my  body, mainly my left arm and  thigh. I remember it tingling and being numb and hypersnsitive. Being the stubborn person I am, I chalked it up to some weird pregnancy symptoms. And then once Abigail was born I chalked my strange back, neck, feet and hypersensitivity up to back and neck strain from the new lifestyle of raising a baby. All the while more and more lesions were forming. Perhaps if I was not so stubborn and looked into my symptoms sooner I would not be where I am today. Sitting in this bed with 1000mg of steroids dripping painfully into my completely useless arm. I wanted to post this because hindsight is always 20/20..and if my hindsight can help you or a friend decide to speak up about your abnormal symptoms, maybe you can be diagnosed and treated before your symptoms affect your everyday life. You know your body better than anyone else, if something is off, call your doctor and make them listen to you!

Holiday 2012 Influenster VoxBox

So I just got my second Influenster VoxBox in the mail the other day... This one I am MEGA excited about!! It had a bunch of fun and exciting things in it....   Here is what I found when I opened the box.... The first item was the Goody QuickStyle Hair Brush.  It claims to help dry your hair 30% faster with these little microfiber bristle things in between the regular bristles.  I tried this out on the first day, and so far I really like it! I think it did in fact help my hair dry faster.  I am concerned that it might be difficult to clean hair out of the brush the way it is designed (I have long hair and tend to leave plenty behind after brushing)...But over all I think it is a pretty decent brush! Next up...my all time favorite... The Quaker Oats Medleys--Cherry Pistachio!!! I LOOOOVE Quaker Medleys....and somehow they knew the Cherry Pistachio was my favorite!  One of the best things for breakfast. I've always liked oatmeal...but this...

MEDICATION: Meant to "heal" me....but might be making me "feel" worse.....

I know I haven't written anything in FOREVER.  To be honest, life just got in the way.  Kids, family, projects, my health....everything.  But as soon as I opened the mail this evening, I knew I needed to post something about this....and a little Facebook rant was just not enough. Every month I get this lovely statement in the mail from my Health Insurance company showing how much was paid out by my primary and secondary insurances for my prescriptions each month....... Side Note:   I am absolutely not some pill happy person.  I HATE taking medication.  And what's worse, none of mine are easy little pills....they're all injections. Needles. God awful jabbing little things that I have to stick into my hips, tummy, and thighs.  Hoping I don't hit a vein and bleed like a stuck pig or swell up like crazy....or get a bruise like someone has beaten me. I have had so many people ask me "Well, you take xyz for fatigue right?" or "you know about xyz f...

Sooper-Dooper Stain Remover!!

Ok- so I know I am always ranting and raving about 'All Natural' 'Homemade' 'Organic' 'Healthy' and what have you....but every now and again I stumble across something that is NOT totally natural...but it works miraculously so I have to share it.  At least until I come up with the All Natural Alternative to it. :) So here's the deal.... a week ago my 20 month old decided she wanted to wear some makeup.  She managed to find an old bag of makeup I no longer wear and decided to try lots of it on.... She was COVERED.  It was all over her pants and sweatshirt, her face and hair.  Notice the attempts at the eyeliner?  I guess she tried really well, and basically knew what she was attempting to achieve...but it didn't turn out so well for either of us. Anyways, I quickly removed her soiled clothing and threw them in the hamper to be forgotten about for a week.  On Sunday I did a load of laundry for her and when it was all done and I went to fo...
